Fabric

Matt structured corduroy fabric, made with narrow 3 mm stripes. It is very pleasant to the touch, prevents the absorption of liquids thanks to the special hydrophobic coating and on top of that possesses a high abrasion resistance (Martindale test 80,000, 415 g / m², composition: 100% Polyester). Above all it is Oeko-Tex certified which means that it is completely free from harmful chemicals and safe for human use. To attain Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification, the fabric has to be tested and certified to be free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances known to be harmful to human health.

IMPORTANT:The colour on the screen may differ from the original colour of the fabrics due to the different types of screens and their calibration.

Cleaning tips

Clean furniture with corduroy upholstery once a week or every two weeks. Brush it with a soft brush or gently vacuum it with a low-power vacuum cleaner using a special upholstery attachment. This way, you'll remove dust and dirt without allowing them to penetrate deeper into the fabric. Brushing the corduroy fabric lifts the pile and prevents the "seating effect," which is the wearing down of fibers in areas where we sit or lean most often. Thoroughly refresh the corduroy upholstery 1-2 times a year. Wipe the entire fabric with a wet solution of a neutral cleaning agent, such as dishwashing liquid mixed with water. Then, wipe it again with a clean, damp sponge or cloth to remove any detergent residues from the surface. Allow it to air dry naturally. You can also use special upholstery cleaning products. Follow the instructions of the product's manufacturer in that case. In case of staining or spills, gently blot the liquid with a dry cloth or paper towel. To remove stains from mud, ketchup, mayonnaise, yogurt, or lipstick, delicately collect any remaining substance. Use mild, neutral detergents, such as dishwashing liquid or mild soap, mixed with lukewarm water in proportions: one teaspoon of detergent to two cups of water, for cleaning the sofa. Strong cleaning agents and bleaching agents can damage the upholstery. Avoid trying to remove stains, especially organic stains, with hot water as they may set in. Clean the soiled surface slowly up and down along the ridges to remove dirt between the fibers. Avoid vigorous rubbing to avoid damaging the corduroy's structure. If necessary, repeat these steps and expand the cleaned area around the stained spot to prevent watermarks. Before starting the cleaning process, perform a spot test of the cleaning agent on an inconspicuous part of the furniture to avoid damaging the fabric. After removing the stain, allow the fabric to air dry at room temperature. Do not use a hairdryer or any other direct source of heat. During this time, do not sit on the sofa, as the upholstery may become deformed.
